March 5th and 6th 2014 - KPMG’s offices in London, England
The word Europe comes from ancient Greek and means broad, wide-gazing. WCD’s European Institute will be a historic gathering of women directors of corporations and large privately held companies – the top business leaders looking toward the future of their companies and corporate governance. This distinguished, half-day conference will be a high-powered ideas forum, exploring compelling trends on the minds of European directors. WCD will be sharing what is working from WCD’s Global Nominating Commission and other relevant organizations to place "boardable” experts – who are multi-talented, multicultural, and multi-gender. Registration will soon be open. Check the WCD website.

Info from WCD Headquarters
Did you miss it? WCD has an 8 trillion dollar voice! WCD recently aggregated the market capitalization of the public companies on whose boards their members serve. They found that the number totaled almost $8 trillion; if WCD were a country, its economy would be the world’s third largest, behind only the U.S. and China!
If you haven’t taken the time to read the press release which discussed the implications of the "voice,” click here to read on!
Other – re: Board Opportunities
Board opportunities have also been routinely circulated by WCD headquarters. Please be alert to those email opportunities and respond quickly only to those opportunities that truly match your experience. We have looked at the profiles of our South Florida members, and it is clear that many of you have either outdated, or non-existent profile information on-line.
Please take a few moments to update your profile. It does make a difference as we assist in searches for qualified candidates. You might also want to update bios with photos etc. Click here to view the latest Board opportunities from WCD headquarters.
