Experience traditional Japanese Confectionery since 16th Century(including lunch)

“Wagashi” (Japanese confectionery) creates and showcases Japanese dietary culture. Let’s have some time together to learn about its culture and history with watching demonstration of handmade Japanese confectionery, and enjoy trying 7 to 8 variety of confectioneries at traditional Japanese Confectionery maker shop of Toraya which was founded in the early 16th century. Afterward, you get the chance to take a tour of Akasaka parent store on the first floor. We are going to have lunch at a restaurant in the neighborhood after taking a backstage tour.

日本の食文化を彩る「和菓子」。16世紀から続く、老舗「虎屋」において、和菓子の文化と歴史を学び、実際の和菓子の手作りデモンストレーションをご覧いただくとともに、作られた7~8種類の和菓子(練り切り)の試食をお楽しみいただけます。その後、1階の赤坂本店もご見学いただけます。

また、虎屋でのツアー後、近隣でのレストランでのランチを予定しております。

(イ)   9:30am-11:30am          虎屋本店での和菓子体験、店内見学

(ウ)  11:30am-1:00pm          昼食(移動時間含む)
