Sheila Hooda, Rodrigo López Elected to Mutual of Omaha Board of Directors
Omaha, Neb., March 23, 2016 – Sheila Hooda of Pelham Manor, N.Y., and Rodrigo López of Omaha recently were elected to the Mutual of Omaha Board of Directors, Chairman Dan Neary announced.
With more than 30 years of global leadership experience, Ms. Hooda is CEO, President and Founder of Alpha Advisory Partners, an advisory firm providing growth strategy, M&A and turnaround services for the financial and business services sectors. Previously, she was Global Head of M&A and Corporate Development at TIAA-CREF. She has also held senior leadership positions with Thomson Reuters, Credit Suisse and Bankers Trust. Ms. Hooda started her career in the USA as a management consultant with McKinsey & Co.
Ms. Hooda is a lifetime member of the Council on Foreign Relations. She is also a Governance Fellow of the National Association of Corporate Directors and a member of Women Corporate Directors. She serves on the boards of the Demand Institute and Pratham USA.
Ms. Hooda is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, and earned a MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

López is Executive Chairman of NorthMarq Capital Finance, LLC. He was founder, President and Chairman of AmeriSphere, a provider of capital solutions for the multifamily industry. AmeriSphere was acquired by NorthMarq Capital in 2015. NorthMarq is one of the largest commercial mortgage banking companies in the U.S., with an annual production volume of over $12 billion and a loan servicing portfolio of more than $47 billion. Prior to founding Amerisphere, López was Chief Lending Officer for a life insurance company, responsible for investments in commercial mortgage loans and real estate properties.
López serves as a member of the Mutual of Omaha Bank Board of Directors and is Chairman-Elect of the Mortgage Bankers Association. In the Omaha community, he is Chairman of Children’s Hospital and Medical Center, Chairman of the United Way of the Midlands Foundation, a member of the United Way of the Midlands Executive Committee, and Director of the University of Nebraska Foundation.
López is a Certified Mortgage Banker and a graduate of the MBA’s School of Mortgage Banking. He received his Bachelor’s and EMBA degrees from the University of Nebraska.
