In order to qualify for WCD membership, you must serve as a director of public or large privately-held companies or family-owned business boards. Private companies, including family-owned businesses, must have a minimum annual revenue of US $200 million in order to meet the WCD membership criteria.
For your convenience, we offer two ways to apply for membership:
1. Complete your application online
As part of the online application process, you will be given the opportunity of uploading your resume and/or board bio. Your application and resume will be automatically forwarded via email to the membership department and to the member committee chair of the chapter you are applying to.
You will receive an acknowledgment of receipt of your application from the membership department. Within 10 business days, the membership committee will determine whether or not you meet the WCD membership criteria.

What happens after I submit my application?
Your application goes through a formal review process. Once you're approved for membership, you'll receive a Welcome Package email and introduced to the Chapter Chairs. After you receive our Welcome Package, it is important you complete the acceptance of membership by logging into your WCD profile and processing your membership fee. You will then begin to receive information on upcoming chapter events, WCD Institutes and programs.
